I have a couple questions here..... first does anyone know of a great taxi in the terre haute area?
I have been given a few references... so if anyone could pass me some info on these people I would appreciate it... if it is negative please PM me with the info... as I do not wish to slander anyone or their work on a public forum.
Christopher Wiggs in Cloverdale Indiana... I have not heard of him... but he was recommended by someone at the place where I had my buck tagged and caped.
Brett Blubaum in Terre Haute Indiana ... don't know much about this guy either... but I used tow ork with his fiancee.
Also Dave Duncan in Avon Indiana ... he came very highly recommended by several people including people I trust and I have some of his mounts and they are wonderful..... I am just looking to see if there is anyone comparable around this to him.... (he is over an hour away from here)
I am going to pick up the cape today but I am needing to drop it off tomorrow I hope (my next two weeks are very very busy and the wife will throw a fit if I leave it in our freezer to long)

There is a guy in Carlise IN about 30 mion south of Terre Haute that I use. He just takes about 40 mounts a year and does the most qaulity work on a head mount I have ever seen. Dont have his number but I think it is called JT'S Taxidermy. I will never use anyone else after he did mine. I will look for the reciept and his number if you are enterested.

Well after talking to a friend of mine.... I have decided to take my deer to Dave Duncan.... I have decided that I want to take it to someone who's work I am familiar with.... I know he is worth the drive, and the wait..... Thanks to everyone who replied either on this thread or by PM.

Dave is a good guy but watch his BS. I have got one in the freezer I might take to him. I also have one on my wall if you want to see his work. Dave is charging $450.
I'll try to post a picture. I don't like the ears , but it still looke good.

I had Dean at Coal Hollow do one for me. His web site is up above here. I had it back in 7 months.

I took my head to Dave's tonight. One he did for me four years ago turned out OK , but I don't like the ears. Where the back and front meet on the bottom the hair is not flat and straight.
The mounts he had on his walls tonight look really nice.
I stopped by Brownsburg and Black Forest and was not impressed at all. Take yours to Dave or stop by and check out his work.

Go to the deer hunting section and a couple of pages back you will find a picture in " Tagged Out ". PM me your name and the next time I am at Dave's I'll check out yours.
I choose a full sneak with a left turn and ears 2/3 back.

My name is Eric Blake.... I am letting him decide the pose... I told him how the deer looked when he came in (aggressive and ready to charge the decoy) and I wanted to recreate that as best as possible.... Then I left it in his hands.... After looking at the work in his shop... I have faith in him to make it a great mount.
