Picked up a dead bunny (dog bite?) from my back yard last evening. Had these weird growths on it. (Right shoulder) Anybody seen things like this before?

Are you joking? Those are ticks. Big, fat blood engorged ticks!

Well, (A) it's a rabbit. (B) I have yet to see ticks like that on any animal. Maybe it's because I've only hunted Hares/Jackrabbits in Wyoming and not Cottontails in Indiana.
Ticks like that are new to me.

Yep, dog ticks. Can't say as I've seen them on rabbits, but then again, I don't see many rabbits up close and personal at this time of year either. ;D They aren't your "normal" deer ticks like you will normally find crawling on your body after a trip in the woods....

Just so you know, rabbits are neither varmints, or furbearers in Indiana. I know some states out west classify the as such.
