Sir, after last Youth Season 07, I wrote Gov. Daniels about the antler deer restriction during our youth hunt. My wife sent me a survey that asked hunters this very question and was sent back to DNR. Is their plans to remove this restriction?
My next question is about archery equipment for our youth, i asked the above individual about letting our youth to use a crossbow during early archery season, do you know if any of this has been discussed in the DNR circle.
Thanks for your help, Tom Southern Afghanistan

Tom. Thanks for your service to our great country and I hope you get to return home soon. I have heard talk of this change, but have not seen anything yet. Personally, I hope they change the law and allow the youth hunters to harvest antered deer during their 2 DAY season. It's a shame that some of our hunters are opposed to this. Can't believe that they want those deer for themselves and not allow a youth to have a chance at their first buck. Can't imagine much of an impact on antlered deer harvest numbers during this short season either. I'd be more than willing to allow my daughters or neighbor kid a chance to kill the buck I've been eye-balling all summer.... I have not heard anything in reference to allowing youth to hunt with crossbows during early archery.
