Released birds, not eastern's. I have seen a few here and there here in hamilton county and they are bronze turkeys or something?

Yep, there were some released about 8-10 years ago near Perkinsville along the river...so I was told.

Not sure where these were taken but just about every bird here in Hamilton Co. was raised and released or escaped from a private owner. I have seen them at the intersection of sr 38 and 31 and they never appear to be easterns. I have heard several stories of the birds wandering around in parking lots near Noblesville which tells me probably not wild. I have a buddy who hunts by the airport by the Boone-Hamilton co. line on sr 32, he had a hen a few times flydown at first light by his treestand. That is probably the closest to a true wild turkey story I have heard from these parts.

Those are great pictures. I used to live in Western Missouri and miss seeing and shooting pheasants. It is nice to know that there are a few around here.
