Minimum caliber

When using depredation permits, is .223 an allowable rifle caliber?

I guess I was assuming that the rule for minimum handgun cartridge size (for use in the regular gun season) of .243 would apply.

Not to my knowledge. The minimum on all of the permits I have seen state that .243 is the min. caliber.
