On the last weekend of muzzleloader season, we sometimes do a deer drive. Is it ok to use vehicles to position the blocking hunters, or would that be 'use of vehicles' while hunting?
Thanks for your answers, to this question and others! I'm hoping it gives COs some appreciation for how easy it is to run afoul of hunting rules!

It depends on the situation. I would shy away from it, especially during a deer drive. I'm hoping it gives COs some appreciation for how easy it is to run afoul of hunting rules!
That's what discretion is for! Its the same thing so many people on this page complain about when they don't get the same answer from one officer to another. It always depends on the circumstances surrounding the incident. I know VERY WELL how ' easy' it is to 'run afoul' with our hunting regs, and I have a GREAT appreciation of how 'easy' it is for some hunters to take advantage of it. I've been hunting since I was a child, well before I could read and write, and I haven't had any problems staying legal with the way our regs are written. Most people get into trouble because they either don't know the law or don't care or they don't think before they do something. Opportunity can make people do some stupid things. IF YOU DON"T KNOW WHETHER OR NOT SOMETHING IS LEGAL, DON'T DO IT! If it is marginal, don't do it, even if you think you're not gonna get caught!
