For the Feb Goose Season

Last year I was ice fishing on a public lake in one of the counties with the late goose season. I saw tons of geese flying around.

My question is, Can you set up decoys and hunt on the ice? If so How far do you have to be off shore?

Since I am not familiar with many of the lakes in northern IN, this question is best suited for your local officer. I know there have been local ordinances passed in that neck of the woods which could prevent you from hunting on certain lakes in 'da region'.
