Another Question About Hunting Rabbits at Night

I have always wanted to try hunting rabbits at night but figured with my luck I would get busted for poaching deer. My question is if you are honestly hunting rabbits at night and get checked by a Conservation Officer how does he decide if you are poaching deer or legally hunting rabbits? Is a 22 long rifle legal for hunting rabbits at night?

The difference is whether you are carrying out a deer or a cottontail!!!!!!
You cannot hunt either from a motor driven conveyance, regardless of whether the motor is running or not. Rabbits can be hunted with a .22 LR at night, as there are no caliber/gauge restrictions on rabbits.
