I just shot this coyote about an hour ago as it came through the field at my house. My wife saw it out the front window and yelled at me to grab my rifle from the safe. It stood out there motionless while I was retrieving my .458 SOCOM, but by the time I got out the back door, it was walking at a fast pace. I practically had to yell at it to stop it. At the shot, it ran very, very hard, and I said to myself, "How in the heck did I miss that?!!!" Just to make sure, I took off walking to the back of the field, and saw it lying there. The photo depicts the exit side.

Nice yote!Have you taken any deer with that rifle yet? Just a doe in 2007. I passed up 19 different bucks in 2007 waiting on a huge one that never showed. I did shoot another coyote with it earlier this year as well, but no pics of it. I didn't hunt firearms or muzzleloader seasons this year, as I tagged out in early archery with 3 does and a 170-pound 8-pointer. I pass you on the road quite often, sometimes in the Jeep, sometimes in our silver truck that is identical to yours. Did you know that I had that truck?

I kinda thought that might be you,but wasn't quite sure(I think you're the only one who honks when they go buy here LOL).That's a good looking truck!I'd know you're jeep anywhere,it isn't hard to miss LOL...
I still have my sights set on one of those rifles...I'm finished with school now, just need to find a job a now...I'm thinking about trying some yote hunting out at my sister and bro in laws, seen a few while deer hunting...
