You can legally take nuisance animals that are causing you property damage. Raccoons, opposums, skunks, beaver, muskrats, coyotes, fox (all the furbearers), rabbits, squirrels, and chipmunks may be taken by the property owner at any time IF they are destroying personal property. Your garden and landscape is considered personal property. Upland gamebirds, waterfowl, deer and turkeys are may only be taken during the hunting seasons and may not be taken as nuisance wildlife.
