I want make sure I have this correct?
On privately owned waters that have a natural inlet or outlet all state regulations apply on size and limits? However licensing doe not?
On private waters that do NOT have a natural inlet or outlet then no state regualtions apply.

In ALL Indiana waterways where size and bag limits apply, a fishing license is required, even on adjacent private property. For example, if you owned a lake/pond with a natural inlet (ingress of state water) and/or a natural outlet (egress of state water), you would be required to possess a fishing license AND follow all size and bag limits. If you owned property along a creek or river, or on a public freshwater lake or reservoir, you would be required to possess a valid fishing license, even while fishing from your privately owned property. On privately owned lakes and ponds, a fishing license is not required, nor do bag and size limits apply, UNLESS, that lake/pond is located in a flood plain and is periodically flooded by a river's seasonal flood waters. In this case, all state fishing regs would apply, including possession of a fishing license, due to the ingress and egress of state-owned fish into that body of water.
