This is from a thread on a National forum. Does/How Does this described situation work in IN? Quote: I have owned my original home I bought 31 years ago, also have close to a couple hundred acres of woods. Wife and I have worked in NYS for over 60 years (paid all those great NYS taxes) both out of the good old pay checks and all those great school and property taxes in NYS.
I have been a Pa "resident" for the past 6 years. Now, because I also own and live in another home in Pa but still keep my NYS place for my retreat home, this NYS property is considered my "second" home.
Here is what they did with the hunting Licenses:
NYS Resident (small & big game) last season=$19 this season=$29
Non Resident (home and land owner/tax payer) last season=$165 this season $225
Bottom Line for me to hunt at my own place it cost me aprox. $200 more than my neighbor down the good old road? What does IN do in situations like this? Thanks for the feedback...

A person can only claim residency in ONE state. Each state has different laws pertaining to non-resident landowners and the license requirements/exemptions as it pertains to each individual situation. Sounds like this guy just wants to belly-ache and displace blame elsewhere because it doesn't fit his personal agenda. It is what it is. Our requirements are listed in the 2009-2010 Hunting Guide on page 3-4 under license exemptions.
