Loaded rifle or shotgun

Buster, my question is the legality of having a loaded rifle or shotgun in a vehicle. I have not been able to find anything in print on this matter. I have a nephew who is an officer on a local PD and he says he knows of nothing to prohibit it unless there was something in the Fish and Game laws. Thanks in advance.

As it pertains to a MOTOR VEHICLE, there is no law that prohibits a loaded rifle or shotgun from being transported inside a motor vehicle on PUBLIC roads in Indiana.
