I'm in the process of looking for some land. Actually think I've found it waiting for the funds. Once I obtain this land I'm having it select cut and then plan to plant trees on it in the spring. What does a person have to do to get land owner permits? And once you have these permits I would assume that your only allowed to kill the limited amount of does in your county. Is that right? Just know this place if full of does. And one more question. I have two sons and a wife that hunts when I purchase this land will I need to have them put on the title as owners so they can get permits too??? Thanks BB

A landowner permit (per se) is the hunting license exemption, and is more or less the paper temp tag for the deer/turkey that you harvest on your land. All other regs still apply, including season dates, bags limits, etc. Your spouse and immediate family LIVING WITH YOU are exempt from a license while hunting on your land.
