Petting a deer decoy

This season we saw a small buck in the woods... I slammed the brakes to look at him.... backed up and skidded to a stop again. My nephew said..."I think that's a deer decoy". I was like... "Naw... it's antlers are too small"... so we were there looking at him out the truck window... and I whistled to get him to move... and the CO's used the motor to move his head... (Very not lifelike BTW...) and we both just started laughing like crazy. I started to drive off... and he said "Stop... I wanna get out and go pet it!". I wouldn't do it, figured it'd just get the CO's mad at us.

Question is... Would there have been anything ticketable if he did?

Do you have permission to enter the property where the deke was located? That's the only issue I see with doing that, other than maybe interfering with the operation.
