I just shot a few rounds through my Ruger GP100 with its new trigger job. It is set at 1.5 lbs in single action mode. To me that is "hair trigger" but it shoots sweeter than ever. My groups are under 2" at 15 yds. I shot a combination of Blazer 158gr and LEVERevolutions 140gr just to see the difference. I found no noticable difference except the Blazers a quite a dirty ammo (but basically half the price). First, should I have any concerns with such a light trigger pull? Second, should I have any concerns using the cheaper Blazers for target practice?

I would recommend shooting it enough to be very familiar with the light trigger. I believe that you can dry fire a Ruger without hurting it, but I'd check the manual to be sure.
I had a S&W 629 with a very light trigger in single mode. It took some getting used to. And I never cocked the hammer until I was on target.
Blazers shouldn't be an issue. Just might have to clean more often. I know that some indoor ranges don't allow them, but, I believe that's because they don't want the Blazer cases mixed with the brass that they collect.

And I never cocked the hammer until I was on target. I hear ya there parson. I actually practiced with a few different gloves just to notice the difference. It still felt smooth and safe. Thanx
