Kid tag along while hunting

Is it legal for my grandson, too young to understand and take the hunter safety course, to walk along with me while bird hunting or squirrel hunting, I want to let him carry a bb gun to teach safe carry, fence crossing and good ol common sense? He will not be taking or shooting any game!

Not only is it legal, but HIGHLY recommended! A great way to get a kid started and doing it the right way.
