i shoot a 35# recurve and about any archery shop should carry a cheap spool and arrows you should be able to pick them up for under 20 dollars.

my rig is a 45# recurve. I suggest a cheap, ugly wooden bow. They float and ya wont mind it gettin slimed, dropped, kicked.... and get/use a Safety Slide System

Any bow will do. Poundage usually between 40 and 50 lbs. is ideal. Older hunting bows are great for bowfishing and can be picked up at pawn shops and garage sales. Spincast reals or AMS retrievers are the way to go. All these items are available from the makers Muzzy, AMS, or pick them up at your local bow shop or bowfishing extreme on the internet has the best prices.
