While he had to learn the hard way, my son ended up with a felony "drug possession" with a guy living with him being busted in my son's house. (Know there is more to it than that but that was the facts on record)
Lost his job of 12 yrs, his home and after a light sentence and probation is "back on his feet" and a home owner working steady.
With a felony in his record I know that he cant OWN a firearm but cant he HUNT with one? (mine) as long as he is with me and the gun comes and goes with me or is it bow only?
Thanks for any help.
God Bless Steve

Unless he was convicted for a Dealing Drug/Cocaine/Controlled Substance charge, or was issued a court order by the judge at his trial, or is still on probation, he should be able to possess/own a firearm, as well as hunt with one. Only Serious Violent Felony Offenses prohibit one from owning a firearm. Try the link below for further info.... www.nraila.org
