lifetime lisense when moved out of state

Ok. so for several years my mother in law has given her pastor permission to hunt on my father in laws property which I also hunt. I know he has an Indiana lifetime lisence my question is this he moved to florida 5 years ago. Last year he didn't bother to ask to hunt just showed up last weekend of gun season. we also found out that he didn't buy a non resident lisense. He says that his indiana is still good even though he dosent live here. Is this correct. My father is concered about this and wanted to know before he trys to come up again this year

His Lifetime License is still valid here in IN, however, he still needs to acquire permission from the landowner each year.
