How does the apprentice license work if hunting with a parent that is landowner/farmer exempt? He will be hunting on the property. What do we tell the check station when checking one in? Thanks for any help.

Landowners, or lessees of farmland who farm that land and are residents of Indiana, their spouses and children living with them, while hunting, fishing or trapping on the land they own or lease (for farming) are exempt.
The kid has to live with the landowning parent to be exempt. An apprentice license would not be needed in this case, and a paper tag stating landowner would be used.
