On the "DEER HUNTING REGULATION SUMMARY 2010." naturalgeographic.net/?p=1236Is there some way to confirm that these changes are in effect? I've discussed the subject below with locals (one who said he also talked to the local CO) and NO ONE is agreeing that: "– New changes allow legal archery equipment and a firearm to be possessed during the firearms season, as long as the person possesses both an archery and a firearms license." I would like to do so and shoot does that come in close opening weekend without spooking TOO much of the immediate area and watch for a buck (if not done buck hunting then ;D ) but I also dont want any kind of issue with being reported or, of course, doing anything illegal. I'm not finding anything on the DNR website on this but that don't mean its not there but I CAN find it on other sites. Id prefer something printed to carry with me if at all possible. Thanks and God Bless Steve Sorry to repeat but I got this email today saying otherwise? Steve, Yes, during the firearms season, you can hunt with a legal bow and arrow as well as a legal firearm, as long as you have both an archery or bonus antlerless license for the archery equipment and a firearm license. This change was made last year. Sincerely, Linnea Petercheff Operations Staff Specialist Division of Fish and Wildlife 402 W. The proposed rule changes are just proposals and have not changed as of yet.
