I read your earlier response that a permit (of any kind) is not needed to legally hunt deer. I know the DNR regulation guide states different. I assume this was printed prior to a rule change and what you stated in your post is the new law?

However, due to those deadlines not all of the changes will make it into the regulations. The new handgun laws went into effect on July 1, 2011.
