If you take a kid out this week-end let me know and I can get the 2 page question sheets to you. This info helps the state get another grant for next year when we expand the seasons for the kids. Thanks in advance. Jack

I wasn't able to get my grandson into an HE class in time , would it still count if he goes along as an observer ?

I got the forms today , many thanks , Jack .
If I understand the questions correctly I'm supposed to ask them of the child and record the answers , correct ?

Yup...one form for before the hunt and the other after the hunt. Takes about 3 minutes.

We went. I took my son (12yrs old) and my Great Nephew (also 12). My Nephew is not H.E. certified, so he had to just watch and hang out. He did an excellent job of retreiving though....lol
My son knocked several squirrels out of the trees, only to have them run when they hit the ground. The leaves must have been taking something off the 20ga. low brass #6 shot.
Talk about a BIG can of worms.....now I have to figure out how I will find time to get my nephew into a H.E. class.................The pressure is on!

Good for you, Camby. Get him into a class soon and he can go out in the field yet this year. Also the proposed legislation for the new Youth Season goes before the NRC tomorrow at Ft. Harrison.
