Check Stations

There is a discussion on another thread about check stations. Are they required to come out and check the deer before placing a permanent tag on the deer? In Parke and Clay county I have always had somebody come out and look at the deer before they placed the tag. Even at places I have checked deer in my whole life.

We highly encourage check stationoperators to visually look at the deer but it is not required.
