I live at the epicenter of Indiana's bobcat population. The DNR has captured and radio-collared dozens within a few mile radius of my home in the last decade and a half. What's funny is that I have never seen one here, even with extensive time spent in deer stands. My only sighting of one was a few years ago on the Crane base while coyote hunting.

I have accidently caught 3 this year while trapping behind my house in Perry county. I seen 1 last yr during bow season and have one on trail cam also this year. A friend of mine also has some on game cameras and my brother has seen quite a few while deer hunting. All sightings were in different locations in Perry County. I think Perry County has a fairly good population of them.

Really? I mean really? There is a thread about that very topic and you feel the need to post a link to the story?

I saw one from my deer stand in Franklin County a few years ago. Pretty cool...took me by surprise. At first I thought it was a coyote, then remember thinking it was moving more like a feline. Then I got a good look and saw it was a bobcat.

A Bobcat was hit and killed by a vehicle in Vermillion County this spring near Blanford on Hwy.163.I Believe another was ran over 3 or 4 years ago near the Newport chemical plant also in Vermillion County.

One of my landowners in Hamilton County claims they saw one this summer in their driveway. I'm hoping my trail cam gets a pic of it.
