Handgun while goose hunting??

Kind of a follow-up questions on the waterfowl vs coyote hunting-What if some one had a carry permit and had something like an Encore in .308 in their holster while goose hunting?? Inquiring minds I'm sure would want to know ;D

Due to the Indiana Statute regulating handguns the law would allow a person to possess the handgun. However, the Federal statute does not allow for that exemption due to the toxic shot.
