I was wondering what kind of trouble you could get into for hunting inside the city limits where no urban tags are? Both for bow and with firearms.
I happen to know of a number of people that hunt a small woods near me and its within the city limits. Myself, I dont care when they are bow hunting, but little worried about firearms since there are houses and kids around.

The only thing preventing this activity is if the city has an ordinance making it illegal. As far as addressing your concerns, whether a person is hunting with archery equipment or firearms doesn't determine the level of safety. One is just as dangerous as the other if the person using them doesn't have the proper training and education. Our Hunter Education Program teaches people to be safe while engaged in any outdoor activity. Always remember, the equipment alone is not dangerous, untrained and careless people with the equipment is dangerous. Education is the key. I cannot teach you to be lucky but I can teach you to be safe.
