If you are hunting your own property during archery season and the deer makes it to the neighbors property before expiring, (upon getting permission to retrieve the deer from the neighbor) would you have to purchase a license before retrieving the deer?

You would not be required to have a license to retrieve the deer in the scenerio that you listed above as long as the following exceptions were met. 1) you are the owner, spouse, or child living with the owner of farmland. 2) the deer was taken legally on the land you were hunting under the license exemption
