The answer you gave s exactly correct for YOUTH DEER SEASON, but does not cover Youth Waterfowl Season, or either of the FREE YOUTH HUNTING WEEKENDS. One of those weekends is September 1st and 2nd. They are only for what animals are in season at the time.

I apparently miss understood the original question. He asked about a "special" youth hunt. The only thing I saw was the Youth Deer Season. I had not received a copy of the waterfowl regulations that contained the waterfowl dates.
The Youth Free Hunting days are September 1 to September 2 and November 24 to November 25. The Youth is not required to have a license, HIP number, or any associated state stamp. However, if the youth is over the age of 15 a Federal Waterfowl Stamp would be required if hunting waterfowl.
This is not a youth season. It is regular season dates for certain animals and waterfowl. Youth are not the only ones allowed to hunt on these dates but are the only hunters that are exempt from the normal requirements by the state. The federal stamp is a federal regulation and cannot be changed by the state.
Each Zone also has a Youth Waterfowl Season. The dates for the different zones are October 13 to October 14, 2012 for the North zone, October 27 to October 28, 2012 for the Central and South Zones. Youth hunters are required to have all applicable licenses, stamps, and HIP numbers.
There is also a Spring Youth Turkey Season which is April 20 to April 21, 2013. During the Youth Seasons all applicable licenses, stamps, and associated items is required. This is only exempted on the free you hunting dates that were listed above.
Hopefully this will clear up any possible confusion.
