I know the regs on deer, but what do they say about field dressing small game, such as squirrels and rabbits? When time allows, it's much, much easier to clean squirrels and rabbits in the field, rather than waiting to get home.

When it comes to squirrels and rabbits, there is nothing prohibiting them being cleaned while in the field. However, we highly recommend that a person use good judgement as to where they discard the byproducts as to not make the area unattractive or unuseful for other members of the public which are there to hunt or not.
