Not you WOODY, but the real Woodies. Man did we get into the woodies this morning. Talk about some awesome shooting. We had these birds decoying in at 50 mph on that river. Should have taken another guy with me, but was nervous with the condition of the river. Had to re-rig a quick spread last night with 4 gang-lines. We found where another creek came in and the whole corner was flooded out behind the trees for about 50 yards. Worked out perfect. Never even set up the boat blind, just pushed the boat back into the woods and we stood under the tree canopy. We should have had some mallards, but some quick surprise's did get the best of us. My last woodie kill, hit him at full speed coming right in, skipped about 15' accross the water. Final count from the Wabash was My guess is we saw atleast 1000 woodies!!! 4 woodies 1 mallard HEN 1 goose. My partner and I went through over 2 boxes at them fast little boogers. Not a lot of kills, but fired a bunch of shells.

Did I mention that it was cloudy and raining the whole time. 20-30 MPH West wind.... Almost perfect duck weather. Except it was 39 degrees.

Good going.
When the Wabash is high it can be fast and very treacherous.
