Got a chance to get out on an island we hunt from time to time. Had a great mix of birds buzz us. we took a bufflehead drake, a greenwing teal, a couple of common merganzers(thought they were divers first time we saw them- hey its been a year since we've seen them). and missed a pair of greenheads. Kind of an expensive morning: I am getting the buffy mounted, and my hunting buddy is getting the greenwing mounted.
From teh same spot we've killed 7 different species of duck and seen two more.
mallard, black, buffie, common and hooder merg, greenwing, wood duck, and redheads(4 at the samed time), and several geese. Never come in with large numbers of birds, but we never know what we're going to shoot.
