Hey, I just wanted to be on the safe side here. I know I can hunt coyotes at night and I know I must have a light on at all times visible to at least 500 ft. But I just wanted to ask if there's anything else I should do or carry to show I'm not out spotlighting deer.
I called the DNR main number and the lady said I need a hand written note to hunt nuisance coyotes. I told her I rent the property so I have all the right to hunt there. I also told her coyotes were in season so they don't have to be a nuisance to anyone. Any advice or suggestions here?

A hunting license and a continuously burning light is all that is required. You are correct as far as them being in season. However, when season is closed an individual must have written permission from the landowner. Good luck
