My son has an Apprentice License. We are planning to take to the woods Saturday to try to get him one more deer with the muzzle-loader. We will of course be sitting together. The property we will be on has a pretty healthy population of coyotes. I'm thinking about taking the calls along and my 12 gauge loaded with Buckshot as well as my hand gun of which I possess a LTC permit. If no deer show by noon I'll try to call in some yotes. I have read through the regs book a few times in the last couple days to make sure I'm within all the boundaries of the law. Please let me know if I'm off base here. I want to continue to set a good example for my son. Thank you for your time.

I do not see where you would be illegal in anything you are planning on doing from what you explained above. However, if approached by an officer, be prepared to be asked a lot if questions. Due to the nature of what we do, we will ask questions to ensure we know what is transpiring in order to make sure everything is legal. Have a great hunt.
