After 17 years, my Encore has sported a new look and we'll soon see that she has the opportunity to connect on some yotes! A couple of friends tuned me into a new/used .22-250 barrel. Topped it with the 4-12x40 Redfield Revolution from my Winchester 88 and then found my 30+ year old bipod from my old groundhog rifle back on the farm. And wrapped it with some camo fab! All we have to do now is zero her in:

I haven't been able to get out as much as I would like. But, I did have a chance to do a quick set near Trafalgar last Sunday. I'd like to say I had great success in calling in this boy but he actually came running toward me about as soon as I sat down. I huffed a few times on my cottontail squealer and he stopped, staring right at me, when I ranged him at 162 yds!
Kapowee! Dropped that dog in his tracks with the above pictured Encore/Redfield, 22-250 combo! Then I dropped my Droid in the snow when trying to get some pics. Guess that ain't to good. I couldn't even make the thing do anything by touching the screen. I couldn't even shut it off. Obviously no pics! Took it apart when I got home and let everything dry it and it worked perfectly the next day!
Oh well! Another dead yote!!!

Good shooting! Ya know, Lifeproof makes waterproof cases for 'em. Mine wears one. Cool I'll have to check 'em out! I have the Galaxy S4 that wears the nüüd case. I put an anti-glare screen protector on it first. They ship that case with a fake phone so you can water test the case before putting your phone in it. No problems with it, and I've had water dripping off of the phone. The frē case has a built in screen protector. The only thing that I don't like is having to open a little door that has an o-ring on it to charge the phone. I haven't seen if those cordless chargers work yet, but that's on the list of things to do the next time I'm past a Verizon store. Yes, it does make the phone bigger, but I couldn't put it in my pants pocket anyway. I'll usually throw it in my shirt pocket. For the summer I guess I'll have to look for a belt case to wear.
