I caught my 5th bobcat in 3 years today. I was able to release it unharmed by using a plastic tote. I did not realize i could move that fast anymore. I have an old camera so the video is a bit grainy but you will get the idea.

What County ?
The Bobcat breeding season will begin in January and February, that is the best time to see a Bobcat in this part of America during daylight hours. I have seen two bobcats in the past year.

What County ? The Bobcat breeding season will begin in January and February, that is the best time to see a Bobcat in this part of America during daylight hours. I have seen two bobcats in the past year. Perry County. People see them all the time anymore around here on game cameras and along roads. This is great habitat for them with many rock outcroppings and ledges. Hopefully there will be a season on them soon.

Oh my god. That was funny as hell. Good job releasing him unharmed and not getting bit or scratched. I thought it was funny the way the cat ran one way and you ran the other. Not sure which one was the most scared!. I've caught some raccoons in a live animal trap and was pretty scared to release them as I had to hold the cage door open as they ran out of the door right by my hand. I didn't know if they would just run away or come of of the cage and attack me on the spot!. They were growling at me the entire time that I handled the live animal cage. But releasing a bob cat out of one of those Havaheart cages would be scary for me. But you did a great job of releasing the cat unharmed. Way to go! I've only seen one live bobcat in the wild and thought I was very lucky to see it. It was crossing the road in front of me as I was driving around the local 2500 acre Fish and Wildlife Area. He was heading into a thick part of the area with lots of small trees and heavy scrub brush. It's an area that I would not want to walk into. It's very thick and would make hard travel for a human. A rabbit or small cat or dog could run though the tangles easier. One time when I was still in High School I tried to run a few traps in the woods behind my house. All I ended up catching was a neighborhood dog. He was too big for a plastic container like you used. He was a big black Lab but didn't bite me when I released him from the foot hold trap. I just hope it didn't break his leg or paw. He ran off and didn't stick around for me to check him out. I stopped setting out traps after that incident. I was trying to catch a fox at the time. But I think that the holes in the side of the hill were groundhog holes not fox holes. They were occupied and there was fresh dirt at the mouth of the holes often and I could smell an animal inside the hole's opening. It may have been a fox. I saw tracks but didn't know what type of tracks they were at the time. I've seen small weasels running around the forest a few times back in the 1960's when I hunted these woods for squirrel, rabbits and crows. I caught my 5th bobcat in 3 years today. I was able to release it unharmed by using a plastic tote. I did not realize i could move that fast anymore. I have an old camera so the video is a bit grainy but you will get the idea.
