The DNR website says a hunter/fisher must have a printed and signed copy of their license on their person while engaging in the activity. I am just curious to how a CO would respond the following scenarios where a hunter did purchase all licenses and permits necessary to be legal, but did not have it on them.
1.) Has a picture of his or her license and receipt on their phone with all information clear enough to read.
2.) Misplaced or forgot his or her license, and didn't realize until approached by CO.
3.) Left their license back in the truck.

Our officers use very good judgement while dealing with the public. they will use their discretion based upon the particular situation. The law states it must be possessed by the individual while hunting/fishing.
