I have been told that on Salamonie Public land different regulations by different people and would like to get your thoughts. I have been told that you can only harvest bucks with a firearm but no does. I also have been informed the same for bow. Then someone else has now said that with a bow you could harvest either sex and only bucks with firearms. Does anyone know which is correct or what is the correct answer? Thanks pjdoc1

DNR properties have a standard set of regulations that pertain to all properties. However, there are additional regulations for various properties. For that reason, we always recommend that the person check with the appropriate property office to see what property specific regulations that they have. I know that several properties have regulations against using 'bonus antlerless license' on the property due to the amount of hunting pressure those public properties receive. That is the reason you can NOT take a doe (antlerless) deer with a firearm. I have not heard of a property restricting the taking of a doe (antlerless) with a regular archery license. Let me know if you need additional information.
