Thanks for posting that Woody. I might have to make one or three before August, when the melons are getting ripe. Had a terrible problem with possums last summer; they seem to like cantalope when it's not nearly ripe enough for us humans. I think I only had about 3-4 cantalope out of our patch!!

Nice plans.
Dan,
You might want to upscale for a possum.

If you knew me very well, you'd know I don't build hardly *anything* exactly like is shown on a plan. I figured I'd take a hard look at the plan and make some "improvements". ;D

I've got a few coons that raid my bird feeders on occasion.

Greasertraps.com should be available for a website.

take it from someone who's trap rabbits for years, if you build one of these traps use old barn boards if you can. for some reason rabbits don't like new wood. don't know why it is but old barn board traps work better. also use small mess wire on the opposite end from the trap door. rabbits will enter a trap better if they see a way out. use cut apples for bait. h.h.

Won't be going for rabbits, and possums are too stupid to care as long as the right bait is in the trap.
Greasertraps.com... That's hiliarious! ;D

Exactly! I like using the mesh end to make sure their was a bunny in that box! Its no fun to find an upset coon in their! When i got possums in my trap, I would keep them in their and carry it back home....my dog loved to play with the possums that i would bring back. ;D
