After not being able to trap for 18 years, it felt good to make some sets, and actually catch something. Even if they were non target critters. I hated to let her go. I caught 2 of these pests today.

I've always caught a lot of non-target animals near woodlines and ditchlines, but very rarely snag one out in the open "coyote country" as I call it.

I also snagged this one. I'm sure I won't see a single coon once they are in season!

I have a homemade release pole. I sling it around their neck, hold them down and step on the trap levers to release their foot. It can be exciting!
