Did something I haven't done since I was a kid... Went coon hunting with some buddys. I was late, the first thing I heard was a hound treed back on the edge of a cornfield, then a .22 snap off. Man I got excited just like I used to when I was a kid and my dad would take me.
Joined up with the fellers, the dogs hit the creek bottom and turned south on a hot track, and treed again.
2 ringtails in a little over a half an hour, and a flood of memories coming back. I had a ball.

My neighbor had a Bluetick and I used it all the time as he was always a busy. I ended up taking a 29 pound coon one night and had a article about be in a local sportsman flyer. I was only 17 and remember that being a heavy coon to bring back home along with the dog. To be honest I'm not sure how big wild coons get.
