Last Saturday Schoolmaster and I was coming off I 69 turning south on 27 by the old Seyfert Potato Chip factory and there is a big area with weeds and theres a coyote mousing. We watched him as we turned into town and I looked on the other side of the fence and theres another one. For those of you that have never been there this is a high traffic area with lots of businesses. The city has expanded on both sides of I 69 so these coyotes must have plenty to eat of they wouldn't be there. I thought it was unusual where they were. h.h.

That's cool, they live in the cities that is for sure, I see them in Fishers and Carmel all of the time! Lots of good food for them. ;D

I've seen a few coyotes in town mostly along West Jefferson. I almost hit one across from the Coliseum a couple years ago (used to see alot of deer run that stretch of Johnny Appleseed Park). Probably the strangest place i've seen one in town was on Wells St. across from the juvenile detention center.

I've seen coyotes in and around Fort Wayne more than any other "big" city in Indiana. I69 10 mile north through 10 mile south of town is good for a coyote just about any time of day. I've killed a few just south of the city limits.... and I've killed several in Carmel/Westfield & Noblesville as well. They're adaptive little creatures.

I work in downtown Indianapolis, just south of 70 off West st. Last year I had a fox trot 20 yards away from me in my shops lot. Could not believe my eyes.
