If I shoot & properly check-in a deer, & take it to a processor, can I then legally give the deer to my son & have him reimburse me for the processing fee? Not a penny profit for me. My son, in effect, pays for the processing.

There is not an issue with this. The Indiana Code states that you cannot sell the meat of the animal. You can give the deer to your son after it is properly checked in and he can take it to have it processed. Either way is legal as long as you are not selling the actual meat.
