Went out yesterday morning with a friend to do a little coyote hunting. Got out to our 1st set, seen 1 heard a few more but didn't get a chance at a shoot. Left there about 45 minutes later. Walked 1/2 mile back to the truck and headed to our 2nd set of the day(we got 6" of snow Fri.nite Sat. morn.) and notice all the roads had be well traveled. Set up at our 2nd set started calling and had a yote take notice and started coming in then all the sudden he put it high gear had the sights set on him when my buddy yelled at me to head for cover, still watching the yote come over a little hill at a dead run. Then all the sudden out of nowhere comes a 4X4 truck doing about 40 mph right behind the coyote then noticed 2 more truck on the roads coming the same way 3 guys get out of the road trucks and start blasting. needless to say coyote didn't make it. They seen us threw the dead yote in the truck and gave us a wave and off to the next road to find something else to shoot. Doesn't seem the way to hunt to me but as soon as the snow stays on the ground you'll see these idiots out. I'm just venting my flustrations and would like to here from anybody this has happened to or been a part of.

Road hunters know no seasons or game. I have a problem on the south side of my property which is a gravel road. Opening day of deer gun season I cant tell you how many trucks go by real slow and usually there are two oranges hats in it. It starts about 9AM till 11AM. One time I heard a truck going slow and "BANG" and then two voices, then the sound of the tailgate dropping. Before I could get down out of my stand and the 200 yds to the fence they had loaded up a deer and were gone. Still makes me made. That was the only time I ever heard someone shoot from the road but the drive up and down that gravel road all the time. h.h.
