I know this is a personal preference question but wanted to see what everyone used for coyotes.

I use one of the following calibers to take Coyotes: ALL BOLT ACTIONS
1. My CZ 527 in .222 Remington or my other one in 7.62 X 39 M/M
2. My Ruger MDL-77 MKII in .270
3. My Ruger Compact Magnum in .308
4. My Smith & Wesson Model "B" also in .308.
5. Bagged a Coyote, while Squirrel Hunting, with my CZ-452 in .22 LR. However, it a bit too light for Coyotes.

300 Win Mag. LOL
I've never shot one, but took my 300 Blackout AR.

I had a very liberal cousin once ask me, why I needed a AR. My response, have you ever seen a coyote running for cover? Of course, the joke was lost on him because he doesn't get hunting either but I think you get my point. In all seriousness though I do use my Remington .308 but my go to gun is my Bushmaster ORC .223 with a 3-9x50 Nikon. I use the Hornady Varmint ammo.

Currently using a bolt action but buying a Mini14 with my tax check. Hope you get your wish of purchasing your Mini-14. With Obama, bypassing Congress, and passing unlawful laws regarding firearms.

I hope so too, from what I've seen he's just expanding the background check and the bill they just introduced won't effect the Ranch rifle but I'm getting it as soon as my tax check comes which should be by mid February at the latest, maybe by the beginning of it.

If you buy an old Mini you will need to refer to this chart: A friend of mine in Georgia said he had an older one and the first few shots were dead on and then after the barrel got a little warm it started going all over the place and never shot good after that. I told him I was buying a new one so hopefully it'll be ok.

Last time I checked our Walmart, around Christmas; they had two Mini-14's in their inventory. Walmart is the only place, other than a very few small gun shops that sell firearms, here where I live. I bet they are already sold, with this ridiculous "gun control" effort of Obama's unlawful action.

I have not fired a new one but every post I've read from some who has one says they have resolved the problem.
