With Baiting ; Just Like Canned hunting, Pay Lakes, it's all about the Need to Kill , just like was already stated You don't have the time to Hunt So just set out a Bait pile in the middle of a field Grap your 300 yd HPR and Kill something , That's what it's all about isn't it ? Killing something Game on Lets go kill something !!

Baiting is already legal imo , you can have a feeder & minerals all year long just not during season . So the disease argument doesn't make any sense to me . I think the law should be clear on using any bait products, it's legal the whole year or it's not and if not you shouldn't be able to purchase it anymore in our state .I think a lot of cheating goes on during season with baiting products now with people who don't get caught .

Not true....... You can Feed/Bait all year around you just can't Hunt over or around the area. Feeding/ Baiting is legal 365 days a year....

I know this is going to go over like a lead balloon, but......
....we plant food plots specifically for the purpose of attracting/holding deer, use scents on drippers to attract deer, then hang cameras that run 24/7/365 (and in some cases call us in "real time") all in the name of "hunting"...yet, we complain about someone dumping a bushel of apples on the ground because we find it "unsportsmanlike"....
Really....?

Really....? LOL, if it's legal, I don't care how anyone hunts. I've come think that hunting is a personal challenge, and I have no desire to control what someone else considers a challenge. After four seasons of not getting a turkey, a white one was looking good to me. However, I must say that sneaking up on that turkey I got was a memory that I will cherish for my first one ...especially since I didn't get to do the calling this weekend. I must admit that if I were hunting and just stumbled upon a turkey in range, I'd shoot it and be just as happy as working a bird for an hour.

Pretty evenly split...
I'm surprised there are not any NO to remove the gray area votes?
I think a bait bucket is a poor man's food plot. Several on here are right in that if baiting is allowed and not monitored it would be a "Baiting War"... with pick up truck loads of bait being put out.
I see no need to bait deer, but I have baited bears in the bush in Ontario. Spot and stalk with archery equipment in the Ontario bush would be pretend bear hunting..

I get this, and you know I respect you greatly, but when someone can get me a food plot seed that only pops up out of the ground when I want it to...and goes back down into the ground when I don't want it to be there than I'll begin to hear the baiting is the same as a food plot thing. Also despite a gun evening the odds, many of my food plots and stand locations I can't shoot the entirety of or all the entrance/exit points with my bow....far from the same of hunting over a bait pile.

Nothing wrong with a difference of opinion, but what I do find interesting is that for many (and I use or have used many of the items/tactics listed below) it's okay to utilize "real time" cameras, 80% let off bows, rangefinders, crossbows, scents, plant food plots, wear scentlok clothing and/or use things like "ozonics" to try and reduce our human scent...all in the name of increasing our odds of success, but.....a "low tech" thing like a bag of corn or a bushel of apples totally crosses the "line".

Yup, I get it. Unlike some with my opinion I'm not too block-headed to admit I see the irony if you hold the opposite thinking.

I still find it completely hilarious that corn, minerals and apples are used 8 months out of the year to draw in deer in front of cameras. Supplemental feed is ok in a feeder over the winter months along with mineral piles. But the minute hunting season comes in, all of a sudden its nose to nose contact, disease spreads and unethical.

I agree on the disease part Muzzle that shouldn't be an issue stated otherwise it should NEVER be legal. Ethical, I personally have issue with it, but I've stated before that is me personally. Just like how I'll bow hunt nearly every day in the field...despite rules allowing other choices at times...personal choice. I just hope if they ever choose to allow baiting it is regulated or limited in some fashion...otherwise things will just get stupid for lack of a better term LOL!

Not really for it or against baiting, just tired of hearing its a disease issue when hunting season rolls around. Most guys put out some kind of bait in front of their cameras to lure in the deer or turkeys. Just wish it was yes you can or no you can not bait. Seems simple to me.

It is a little humorous to me. Sure, I can't shoot a deer at the longer distances in my food plot with a xbow, so if I hunted 100yds from a pile of corn, I see no difference at all. However, I would MUCH rather put in the effort to feed them all year long with my plot since I now have that opportunity. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if I would put some apples closer to my stand in my food plot to entice them closer to me ...just don't tell anyone I said this.

In fact,I haven't even carried a grunt tube or rattling antlers in quite a few years now. I put out a camera in August, and pull it before season.
