Hi jajwrigh.. NO sir, not at all... Since most of my hunting is from a treestand, it has NEVER been an issue with clearance. I guess I just got accustomed to shooting a longer stabilizer when I was competing in tournaments and I just like the "feel" of having it there. At one time, I had a form of "target panic" that would cause me to hold my sightpin just above the bullseye and try as I might, I COULD NOT over come this. The added weight of the longer stabilizer helped me... NO PROBLEM NOW!! My stabilizers are made from solid fiberglas fish arrow shafting. I have the "bow end", that threads into the stabilizer insert and the end where the weight screws on machined by a friend of mine. He also makes the stabilzer weights for me.. Just a few seconds of spray painting with black, green and brown.. I am read to shoot my bow. You know how us bowhunters are... constant experimenting..trial and error.. and when we find something that works for us... "WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THIS SOONER??" GOOD HUNTING

Not sure. I have two bows that I regularly shoot and shoot equally well. It all depends on my mood that morning as to which one I pick up.
Diamond Archery Stinger (28" ATA killing machine - I've killed a lot of stuff with this bow) W.B. rest C.J. sight Carbon Impact stabilizer STS Alpine Soft Loc Quiver
Diamond Archery Gladiator (crono's at 302 fps w/ 405 gr. arrows - a screemer!) Q.A.D. rest HHA 5500 sight Sims S-coil stabilizer STS Alpine Soft Loc Quiver
Either way, GoldTip XT-7595 arrows, feathers, & 100 gr. Steelforce Sabertooth broadheads.
Like I say, I shoot both bows equally well and I shoot them often, so it all depends on my mood that morning.

My rig(s) for opening morning will be one of two..
1) TenPoint QX4 at 185 pounds and a Red Dot multi-dot scope. I’ll be shooting 426 grain TenPoint Elite carbons white crested with a fluorescent green fade. They are fletched with yellow fluorescent Blazers. They will be tipped with Wasp 100 grain Jack Hammers. Approximate speed – 313 fps.
2) Customized Excalibur Exomag boosted to 210 pounds draw using a multi-reticule scope. It has a Mark Henegar custom thumbhole laminated black/silver stock. I’ll be shooting Gold Tip laser IIs that weigh in at 355 grains. They are also white crested with a fluorescent green fade. They are fletched with yellow fluorescent Blazers. The business end will be Wasp Hammers in 100 grains. Approximate speed – 330 fps.
Since I just acquired the TenPoint QX4 and I haven’t killed anything with it yet I might try and bloody it first.
Good luck to all no matter what you choice in archery equipment is..
