It's pretty quiet in here with only a few more days before the opening of the coyote hunting season for 2016. There are a lot of young of the year out there waiting for you to shoot them.

Was planning on going opening night and making a few stands but most of the places I planned on hunting still have standing crops in them. Hopefully the farmers get them picked soon

The area around me is more than half way harvested so it's starting to look good. That's really what got my attention.
And for all you deer hunters out there in the woods. Please shoot a few coyote too. You know that coyotes are the major predator on the young of the year fawns.
Now if the deer are eating your flowers and crops and your farm income is in decline because of this then maybe you want to see a few deer killed to help reduce crop loss.
We have a lot of bean fields down here as well as corn in Warrick County and the corn is being harversted first. Now they are harvesting some of the bean fields.
I can tell when the harvest is in full swing as they kick up so much dust that it more than doubles the amount of dirt in the air. All that dirt and dust stirred up contains the same chemicals (in smaller quanities) that was sprayed on the crops for the last ten years. Some of those pesticides are contained in the crops and the dirt and when the soil is dry and disturbed the dust gets kicked up and the really small dust can stay in the air for a long way and a long time. Heavier dust particles will fall back to earth closer to the point they were ejected into the air by the combines.
I wish that there was a cheap and easy way to control the dust during the harvest. Some of the dust is top soil that should be left in place not spread all over the place.
I take Claritin Medicine for my allergies and sinus problems every day. But that won't even help keep my nose open this time of the year.

I wait until after deer firearms season to hunt them, usually after it's stayed cold for awhile but I don't hunt them much anyways,a couple of months is fine with me. If I had more good spots I'd go more probably.

Been hunting them whenever I see one and can get my bow on them fast enough. One so far this year.
