If you hunted from inside a 3ft tall box, and hunter orange is visible above it from all sides, as in a vest or cap, would hunter orange still be required on all sides like a pop up blind. I am guessing no, but want to confirm first. Thanks.

As long as the hunter orange being worn by the hunter is not concealed from one or more directions, it would not be considered a ground blind. However, if the box meets the definition of "ground blind" the 144 square inches on each side would be required.
312 IAC 9-1-7.6 "Ground blind" defined Authority: IC 14-10-2-4; IC 14-22-2-6 Affected: IC 14-22 Sec. 7.6. "Ground blind" means a structure or visual screen of any type that is located on or within four (4) feet of the ground that includes manmade or synthetic materials and results in concealing a hunter so that the hunter orange worn by the hunter may not be visible from one (1) or more directions.
